I don’t know about other areas but in Indore,colleges
have developed good marketing schemes. They call students to their college through schools on the name of Annual Award Ceremony, Health Awareness Campaign,
Counselling Seminars, etc., and promote their college on the front door.
As a student of a reputed school, I also had pleasure to enjoy many of them.

One of them was an “EyeAwareness Campaign” organised by Choithram College of
Professional Studies at Choithram Netralaya (Choithram Eye Hospital).

Today’s modern world is place of short distances. We see most of objects that are at shorter distance. The things which we see for long hours such as books, mobiles, tablets, computers and laptops, etc., are merely 20cm away from our eyes. Our rooms, in which we
live don’t have dimension more than 12-15 meters.
And this short distance world is creating problem for our eye system. Our eyes need relaxation at regular interval.
At Choithram, they shared a few ways to relax our eyes.
I’ve added few more from my side to complete the post.
If you have little knowledge about Biology and Physics,then you must be aware that when we see objects of far distance, our eyes get relaxation.

20-20-20
Are you thinking about Cricket after reading the sub-heading? I too had the same thought, when it was introduced for the first time in the Choithram Auditorium. I was wrong at that time and now, you’re wrong, if you had thought related to cricket. This 20-20-20, do not have any relationship with Cricket, even at miles.If you have little knowledge about Biology and Physics,then you must be aware that when we see objects of far distance, our eyes get relaxation.
The procedure of this exercise says that after every 20 minutes; we should look away at a distance of at least 20 meters for at least 20 seconds. In this way our eyes will get proper relaxation at regular interval.
The resource person continued with few more necessary requirements for relaxation of eyes. It included blinking of eyes (it helps in wetting eyes), rolling eyes (for better eye movements).
If your eyes appear heavy and pain giving, look towards sky. Looking at that distance gives great relaxation to eyes.

You can also relax your eyes by rubbing your hands and then putting them on your eyes. The warmness generated by friction of hands, relaxes eye muscles.

Some people also say that quick breathing for few minutes can also help you in relaxing the eyes.
